About Me
Well at the request of some of my friends that wanted me to add a page about myself and not games or anything of that nature. So this is all about me (I can see the excitement in some of you already).
My name is Ethan. I’m currently 17 and in 11th grade (at the time of posting it is less then a month until summer break). I am planning on graduating high school (no surprise there) and going to college for either psychology or law. I’ve been born and raised in the United States of America (which I’m proud to be apart of).
I’m usually passive at first but I open up over time. Then you get to see my humorous and sarcastic side (some debate on the humorous part but we will leave that for you to decide shall we?) I get good grades (A’s and B’s except for in math. I hate math since there are so many ways to get the same equation wrong.)
My personality can be described anywhere from dark to humorous depending on the day or situation. I do let my emotions get the best of me at times but I do my best to keep them in check and leave my analytical nature take over (which sometimes makes me seem cold and distant. Don’t worry, its a bad thing if you see the opposite. Let’s not get into that however.) In all honesty though, we are humans and can we say that we never let our emotions get the better of us (and say it with a straight face also)?
My free time I generally spent gaming. I am a hardcore gamer and will push myself as long as I possibly can. I prefer to play all types of games but I enjoy games that do make me think about strategy/tactics compared to just killing. I have no current gen consoles which I hope to remedy soon after I upgrade my computer to be able to play WoW and some other PC games.
Believe it or not, I actually read books (shocking in this age of technology). However I also spend my time writing. Usually I take a game I’m playing (such as Medieval 2 Total War, my current game of addiction) and write of story of it. Usually this takes the form of a campaign and the political affairs of the kingdom with a very descriptive battle here and there. Ironically I’ve never published them on the internet or anything.
I am in chorus but I would say I’m average. There have been many opportunities for me to prove I am better than I leave off but usually nerves get to me and I back down. No big deal though. I’m horrid at drawing so I don’t usually attempt it. Music I like everything. My music choice is varied. I listen to classical, rock, punk, metal, etc. I also listen to some J-rock and J-pop (which is a lot better than this crap in America). The J-rock and J-pop come from my liking of anime which may or may not be good depending on if you like it or not. Great thing about humans is that we have the ability of choice and the right to like or not like something.
My beliefs are very odd. I’m not spiritual at all. I believe in what i see with my eyes and what science tells me is fact. While this may seem arrogant to most but I have no problems with that. I respect the beliefs of others even if I don’t agree with them. That is fine with me because in the end all you have is yourself. If you can’t look at yourself without disgust, then you are doing something wrong. Just like what Alexander the Great of Macedon said “In hope and faith the world may disagree but all mankind’s concern is charity.”
